Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at Dorchester House Stingrays, you will lead swimming programs and offer both individual and group lessons to children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who have a strong interest in swimming, exceptional communication abilities, and a true talent for motivating young swimmers to develop a love and appreciation for the water. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven Swim Instructor to join our team and support our Dorchester House Stingrays location in Mattapan, MA.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of various ages and skill levels
• Create a safe and encouraging learning environment for all students
• Assess student progress and offer feedback and guidance as needed
Requirements
• Previous experience working with students of diverse ages and abilities, especially in an educational or instructional setting
• Proficient in a variety of swim strokes and techniques
• Knowledgeable in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching skills
• Strong behavior management skills, able to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is a plus, as it demonstrates familiarity with working with children in a structured environment!
• A genuine passion for swimming and working with children!
